A man has been charged following a vehicle pursuit across Stoke-on-Trent. Jak Harrington, 18, from Bentilee, Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with using a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, failing to stop a mechanically propelled vehicle when required by a constable, driving a motor vehicle dangerously, causing the endangered safety of person conveyed by railway and failing to provide a specimen for analysis. It comes after a Honda failed to stop for police on Clarence Road, Adderley Green, on Sunday (16 November). The car eventually came to a stop on railway tracks in Blythe Bridge. Harrington has been remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Tuesday 18 November). A 17-year-old boy, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, theft of a motor vehicle and put / throw stone / wood on railway with intent to endanger safety. He has since been released on bail with conditions. | ||
